CFM Spotting was founded in 2022, driven by our shared passion for capturing the beauty of aviation through our lenses. We aim to showcase our photography and inspire others to fall in love with this interesting world and hobby.

Our team currently consists of five aviation enthusiasts:

Christian is based in Milan and shares a love for flight simulation and aviation photography. Alongside these interests, he enjoys traveling, learning new languages, and making music. Christian will embark on his Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) journey next year.

Federico lives in Rome and is an avid flight simulation and planespotting enthusiast. He holds a Private Pilot License (PPL) and is on his way to becoming a commercial pilot.

Matteo, from Bergamo, has a deep passion for helicopters. His goal is to obtain a Commercial Pilot License for Helicopters (CPL-H) and pursue a career as a SAR and HEMS pilot.

Diego, from Novara, is very passionate about military airframes and helicopters. His main goal is to become a utility helicopter pilot, with the ultimate ambition of pursuing a career as an HEMS pilot.

Andrea, based in Cameri, shares a passion for SAR helicopters and military airframes. His goal is to join the Italian Air Force’s Academy.

Addiotionally, CFM also sees support from Matej Moravčík, an external contributor and aviation photographer from Slovakia!

Since our founding, we’ve visited numerous air bases, airshows, and events all across Europe and beyond. We’re continuously on the lookout for new adventures, with ambitious plans to expand our project in the coming years.
