CFM Spotting was founded in 2022, driven by our shared passion for capturing the beauty of aviation through our lenses. We aim to showcase our photography and inspire others to fall in love with this interesting world and hobby.
Our team currently consists of five professional aviation photographers:
Christian Bossi
Based in Milan, Christian is a dedicated aviation photographer, who started his career in 2019. Driven by a technical fascination with aeronautics, he is currently preparing to begin his ATPL training, aiming for a career at the flight deck of commercial airliners.

Federico Massari
Operating out of Rome, Federico is an avid aviation photographer with a deep-rooted expertise in flight operations. He currently holds a PPL license and is actively advancing his flight hours and certifications on his path toward becoming a professional commercial pilot.

Matteo Carenini
From Bergamo, Matteo specializes in rotary-wing aviation. His professional focus is centered on achieving a CPL-H license, with a clear career objective to serve as a pilot in SAR and HEMS operations.

Diego Mor
Based in Novara, Diego brings a technical perspective to the team with a profound knowledge of military airframes and rotary-wing systems. He is pursuing a career as a specialized technician and mechanic for HEMS helicopters, ensuring the airworthiness and operational readiness of life-saving assets.

Andrea Bellotti
Located in Cameri, a strategic hub for Italian and international military aviation, Andrea focuses his photographic work on SAR helicopters and tactical aircraft. His ambition is to serve his country by joining the Italian Air Force Academy, combining his passion for flight with military excellence.

Matej Moravčík: Our international reach is strengthened by Matej, a good friend and external contributor of our website, and an accomplished aviation photographer from Piešťany in Slovakia who contributes high-level visual content and on-the-ground coverage from Eastern Europe.
Nailya Mamatova: Based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Nailya is an aviation photographer and external contributor for CFM Spotting. Currently studying aerospace medicine, she combines her passion for flight technology with a unique Central Asian perspective, providing our international projects with a professional look at aircraft precision worldwide.
Since our founding, CFM Spotting has documented aviation excellence across air bases and airshows throughout Europe and beyond. Our team is composed of future pilots and aviation technicians, ensuring that every image we capture is backed by a professional understanding of flight operations and aerospace engineering.
We’re continuously on the lookout for new adventures, with ambitious plans to expand our project in the coming years.
