Istrana - Italy

Poggio Dart 2025 (November 24th – December 4th) at Istrana Air Base showcased NATO’s integrated air defense and Command & Control capabilities. The gems from this edition, were the Turkish F-4Es, featuring the 50th Anniversary livery dedicated to Atatürk. The exercise also included assets from the ItAF and Navy, USAF and NATO AWACS.

Nellis, NV - USA

Exercise Red Flag 25-3 (July 21st – August 1st, 2025) at Nellis AFB concluded the 2025 cycle of the U.S. Air Force’s premier training program. Operating since 1975, Red Flag serves as a high-intensity “combat rehearsal”, preparing U.S. and allied forces for complex conflict scenarios against near-peer adversaries.

Sondrio Caiolo - Italy

Exercise Grifone 2025 (June 9th-13th 2025), Italy’s premier mountain SAR drill, was held at Sondrio Caiolo airfield.
Led by the Italian Air Force and CNSAS, the event involved 500 personnel and 11 helicopters from national and international air forces. Over five days, crews completed 80 sories, refining inter-agency coordination for complex day and night rescue scenarios.

Andravida - Greece

Iniochos 2025 (April 28th – May 9th, 2025) at Andravida Air Base, Greece, solidified its status as the “Red Flag of the Mediterranean”. The exercise involved 12 nations and 100+ aircraft flying over 1,300 sorties. These complex COMAO missions enhanced interoperability among NATO and international partners in high-intensity combat scenarios.

Gioia del Colle - Italy

NATO Tiger Meet 2023 (Oct 2nd-13th) at Gioia del Colle AFB marked the exercise’s return to Italy after 35 years. Over 80 aircraft from 12 nations, flew 1000+ sorties, focusing on complex COMAO missions and interoperability. The event highlighted the “Tiger Spirit” with iconic special liveries and prestigious awards like the Silver Tiger Trophy.

Ocean Sky 2025

Gando, Gran Canaria - Spain

Ocean Sky 2025 (October 20th-31st 2025) at Gando AFB in Gran Canaria, focused on advanced DACT training and air superiority missions. The main highlight was the partecipation of Indian Air Force Su-30MKI, marking a rare deployment to Spanish airspace. These fighters operated alongside the Spanish Air Force and NATO allies to refine international inoperability in complex aerial combat scenarios.

Anatolian Eagle 2025

Konya - Türkiye

Anatolian Eagle 2025 (June 23rd – July 4th, 2025) at Konya Air Base featured high-intensity COMAO missions to enhance international interoperability. The highlights of this year’s exercise were the Turkish F-4 Phantom in its 50th anniversary livery, and the participation of Azerbaijani Su-25 Frogfoots. Like in the past, this edition solidified Konya’s status as a premier global hub for realistic aerial warfare training. 

TLP 2024-4

Albacete - Spain

TLP 2024-4 (November 11th-29th), at Albacete AFB integrated over 30 aircraft, including Italian F-35As and Eurofighters, German Tornados and Eurofighters, French Mirage 2000Ds, and hellenic Rafales. A NATO E-3A AWACS provided critical command and control for these complex SEAD and 5th-gen integration missions. The course successfully refined tactical leadership and interoperability among elite allied aircrews.
